  1. Listen up you land loving teddy bears! I have been on the open seas for the past 6 years with nothing to keep me company but my hand carved black pumpkins! One is designed to look like a cheerleaders back region and the other two look like Friday the 13th Jason and Freddy Krueger. These $^%#&$% pumpkins are top notch in detail and workmanship. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE them soOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much! KCCO

    1. Ok! I found a whale fishing boat and got some more wifi.

Did you know that a pumpkin is a cultivar of a squash plant? Pumpkins like squash are native to North America. As one of the most popular craps in the US 1.5 billion pounds of pumpkins are produced each year.

"Giant pumpkins" are large squash that can exceed 2,000 pounds!

Now to the good part! Pumpkins are commonly carved into decorative lanterns called jack-o'-lanterns for the Halloween season in North America. Throughout Britain and Ireland, there is a long tradition of carving lanterns from vegetables, particularly the turnip, mangelwurzel, or swede. The practice of carving pumpkins for Halloween originated from an Irish myth about a man named "Stingy Jack".The turnip has traditionally been used in Ireland and Scotland at Halloween, but immigrants to North America used the native pumpkin, which are both readily available and much larger – making them easier to carve than turnips. Not until 1837, does jack-o'-lantern appear as a term for a carved vegetable lantern, and the carved pumpkin lantern association with Halloween is recorded in 1866.

In the United States, the carved pumpkin was first associated with the harvest season in general, long before it became an emblem of Halloween.[39] In 1900, an article on Thanksgiving entertaining recommended a lit jack-o'-lantern as part of the festivities that encourage kids and families to join together to make their own jack-o'-lanterns.

  2. I figured a way to hack into govt satellites and get some wifi! The password was password! HAHA got em! Anyway.... These pumpkins are making me so happy right now. I got a little wig and dressed them up. I'm thinking about having a wedding ceremony for the two of them but that might be weird. Sometimes I think I need to get someone to sail with me. Maybe I'll find a mermaid or a woman octopus would be nice as well. Those 8 arms might come in handy.....wink wink. Thanks again for the pumpkins and I hope you KCCO!

  3. Pumpkins pumpkins where to begin? The are round plump and orange....well most of them. They are my favorite item in the entire world. I sometimes wonder what kind of pumpkin I would've been. Would I be those pretty white ones? Would I be so pretty that nobody would want to carve me? Maybe I would be one of those huge ones at the fair that gets the blue ribbon. The one I would prefer to be is tough to say.... but if I had to be a carved pumpkin I know that I would want to be a black carved pumpkin! Thanks again for all the things you do.
